QIAO TAG nasce infatti nel 2006, nell'ambito di una sfida con il mio mentore Prof. Gianni Degli Antoni (GDA), sul realizzare una piattaforma digitale serverless e senza alcun database, in alternativa alle esistenti. Immediatamente ci siamo accorti come il problema da affrontare fosse la necessità di dover ripensare prima di tutto la rappresentazione stessa del dato digitale da gestire, trasmettere e condividere. La soluzione è stata quella di immaginare una piattaforma che simulasse il funzionamento del cervello umano e si comportasse nelle sue interazioni come una entità biologica condivisa. Da queste premesse sono nati i QIAO TAGs, i neuroni di questo nuovo mondo biologico digitale, nel quale tutte le interazioni si realizzano attraverso l'interazione tra due o più QIAO TAGs che si scambiano tra di loro le informazioni di cui sono portatori. Ogni QIAO TAG ha infatti due memorie: una dinamica temporanea ed una statica permanente. Ciò consente loro di immagazzinare una mole importante di informazioni totalmente destrutturate, memorizzando le aggiunte e gli aggiornamenti successivi, preservando le copie di tutti gli steps. Tutto è crittografato con chiave pubblica – privata, pertanto lo scambio delle informazioni può avvenire in maniera trasparente tra i QIAO TAGs e i nodi di questo cervello digitale (eBRAIN), garantendo però la privacy e la leggibilità solo a coloro che sono realmente autorizzati – abilitati a farlo. Di fatto sono un Big Data interattivo e crittografato di nuova concezione che può essere condiviso in tempo reale e nel contempo aperto per interazioni con terze parti esterne.
