QIAO TAG seems to be the "evolution of the species" of the Blockchain but it exists since before any Blockchain.
QIAO TAG was born in 2006, as part of a challenge with my mentor Prof. Gianni Degli Antoni (GDA), on creating a server less and database-less digital platform, as an alternative of to the existing ones.
First of all, we realized how that the real problem was to rethink the representation of the digital data to be managed, transmitted and shared.
The solution was to imagine a platform that simulated the human brain functioning and behaved in its interactions as a shared biological entity.
From these premises the QIAO TAGs were born, the neurons of this new digital biological world, in which all the interactions are carried out through the interaction between two or more QIAO TAGs that exchange with each other the information they carry.
Each QIAO TAG has two memories: one is short term and dynamic and the second is permanent and static.
This allows them to store an important amount of totally unstructured information, memorizing the additions and updates, preserving copies of all the steps.
Everything is encrypted with a public - private key, therefore the exchange of information can take place transparently between the QIAO TAGs and digital brain nodes (eBRAIN), while guaranteeing privacy and allowing readability only to those who are truly authorized - enabled.
They are newly conceived interactive and encrypted Big Data, that can be shared in real time and at the same time, open for interactions with external third parties.
A peculiar characteristic of QIAO TAGs is that of being able to manage completely deconstructed and geolocated information. A piece of information or action is generated by the interaction between two and more Qiao Tags.
The security and immutability of the information stored in the eBRAIN are guaranteed by eCHECK, an algorithm that uses encryption to verify that the QIAOTAGs have not been altered and are genuine. eCHECK verifies the congruity of both the single QIAO TAG and its storage path, avoiding their inappropriate alteration.
eBRAIN can be replicated in many eBRAINs (Nodes). Each of them is autonomous from the other but has a copy of the QIAOTAGs created by all the others, so that it can act in real-time without the need to go through a centralized entity.
STARTS ORIGIN AND DEVELOPMENTS
In 2006 - 2008, as a first step, we tested this technology to create the first WEB sites and applications - QIAOTAG Based.
In 2010, starting from an Italian Government project during the Shanghai EXPO period, about the traceability of Italian products in China, we developed the knowledge and interaction necessary for QIAOTAGs to trace and guarantee the authenticity of the products. As well as the eTRUST decision-making component that managed the conflict connected to validate and guarantee the information contained in the QIAO TAGs.
To be clear: it is not enough to make the stored data unalterable. It must be ensured that the sources of information are genuine and reliable.
eDNAS – QIAO TAGs SMART MICROCODES
Another fundamental evolution has given QIAOTAGs a significant and better interoperability: eDNAs.
eDNAs are software microcodes with which joint actions between different QIAOTAGs are activated in a more structured and defined way. Just like human DNA, these codes can activate complex actions through the joint action of different QIAOTAGs and reproduce them later without limits.
Examples of application of eDNAs are:
ePassport, with which all the information about product /service/location together with related third-party information are collected interactively in a single page and geolocalized
Some application examples:
- where you can try, buy, use, test a product - both online and offline service
- any dangerous ingredients or allergens that may be presents inside
- the location where events take place using that product or brand: for example, a chef who uses an ingredient on his menu, a try & buy, a presentation, a flash mob etc.
- assurance of a product-service and the automatic execution of the guarantee in economic terms and / or product replacement, interaction with the insurance and services of the third parties involved
- a travel destination to visit connected to the origin of the ingredients or other information related to that product-service…. and many other applications
iSTORE: in just one page only all the data from internal and external sources (Contents, ecommerce, Videos etc ..), as well as complex cross-platform call actions (ex. Instant Price - Get your price, event booking, Job interview ...)
With the introduction of eDNAs, QIAOTAGs have become carriers of data - information and also of knowledge and operational actions, so as to be able to develop solutions for even very complex problems.
For example, for Chinese Cross-Border and its formal operations, eDNAs manage all steps of product accreditation, loading, transaction and logistics, activating the QIAO TAGs involved and the necessary software sections, keeping track of all the related documents (customs, lot information, product certificates, logistic steps) which will be shown in the product ePassports and iSTOREs.
QIAO TAGs also allow you to trace the entire product management chain, such as production, logistics, sales and resale of the same products on the different markets (B2B / B2C), the instant pricing (prices customized in real time according to established conditions), Flash Sales Geo-localized and much more.
DIGITAL CURRENCY
From the observation of SECOND LIFE first and the BITCOIN phenomenon later, in 2009 QIAOTAGs had a further fintech evolution, being equipped with their own digital currency function for both monetary and commercial transactions, user rewarding system and loyalty programs, thanks to the QIAO PAY platform.
This eDNA makes it possible for QIAOTAGs to carry out commercial transactions with any eCommerce and / or digital payments gateway (ex. Alipay, Wechat, Paypal ...) and subsequently also in EXPO COIN (2015), our stablecoin cryptocurrency.
QIAO TAG + BLOCKCHAIN
With the activation of our blockchain (YDBCHAIN) based on Ethereum nodes, QIAOTAGs are able to interact directly with the Blockchain both in DApps and Mainnet, also in the creation and management of Smart Contracts.
QIAO TAG + AI (Text / Images / Voice)
With the introduction of our ALADDIN AI (Artificial Intelligent) platform, iBRAINs can access to semantics and ontology to respond coherently to natural sentences in 60 languages, extracting their concepts, beyond the keywords typically used by traditional searching methods.
So, with the sentence "dinner with friends" iBRAIN will react with the experiences, products, services related to the concept of dinner (cooking, eating, drinking, outdoor places and related activities), and to the level of relationship (formal, non-formal), always with the possibility of geolocalization.
ALADDIN AI interaction was extended from simple text to image recognition and voice interaction, allowing eBRAINs to have a complete and natural interaction, ready to the next Global Personal Assistant functions (ALADDIN +).
QIAO TAGs + SMART CITY
Towards the end of 2015, we realized that QIAOTAGs were ready for creating something broader and more structured. Hence the creation of YIDUCITY, a real smart city built around its eCITIZENS, created through the interaction of the QIAO TAGs now able to represent both real and virtual elements, such as people, products and services, places and actions.
QIAOTAGs have become the neurons and building blocks of the Matrix that gives life to YIDUCITY, our next frontier in the development with which we intend to amplify the interaction between digital and real worlds, projected to the coming hybrid barrier-free future reality.
QIAO TAG BEYOND BLOCKCHAIN
For these reasons, with QIAO TAG we think we have gone "beyond" the current Blockchain itself, given the potential, scalability, modularity, the variety of applications and the possibility of interacting with the Blockchain itself whenever necessary.
In addition, to being able to manage completely unstructured documents, information, interactions, therefore overcoming many of the Blockchain limitations, which are due to its financial nature, structural functional rigidity and management complexity, and make any real diffusion difficult.
A path that go on and continues to thrill us, now made up of over 2 million activated QIAOTAGs, +6 million pageviews generated monthly by the various channels that use them, combined with the opportunity of being able to create new and increasingly innovative interconnected projects, to contribute in improving the quality of personal and social life of the eCitizens and partners involved.
