A day in French Basque country, Biarritz / Oysters, Basque cake, delicious holiday!

In this vlog, we introduce a short trip to the French Basque Country during the autumn holidays. Biarritz is one of the most famous and luxurious beach town in the French Basque Country. It has long been world-famous for its surfing and it’s been considered as the historic surfing capital of Europe. You can watch the surfers on the beach, or visit the Virgin's Rock, one of Biarritz's most famous landmarks. And of course, because we love good food, we went to the food market in the centre of the city! It was really interesting to see all the unusual foods and dishes that you can't find in Paris, for example the famous French Basque cake (very different from the Spanish one!).
At the fishmonger's, they open oysters on the spot and we can eat them at the eat-in corner. We’ve ordered not only oysters, but also prawns and shellfish, and enjoyed them with a glass of white wine. It's the best!
After lunch, we went to the famous & popular patisserie "Miremont", which has been in business for about 150 years (since 1872!). Once we tried their signature cake, my husband couldn't stop talking about it...!
