Main Floor Gets A Manor-Inspired Makeover
Homeowners Tim and Robin wanted to give their 1980s Oakville, Ont. home a total refresh. Designer Ines Kelly Mazzotta of Kelly Hopter Interiors knocked down walls to open up the layout and introduced bright whites, warm wood and touches of English design. A generous dining table is perfect for entertaining and the dining room flows naturally into the kitchen. A striking vent hood clad in textured tile, white hutch-style cabinets and herringbone floors underscore the kitchen's heritage character, while a mahogany island and handmade brass hardware nod to Old World style. Ines transformed the family room by installing a beautiful new fireplace which serves as the focal point and added stained blonde wood to the ceiling for an English manor flavor.
