The Immersion bathroom furniture series by Agape designed by Neri&Hu has won the prestigious NYCxDESIGN 2020 award in the category "Bath fixtures".

This prize came after the bathtub from the collection won the same award in 2017.

The series consists of a wide range of freestanding and built-in bathtubs and washbasins that stand out for their soft, delicate shapes.

Their compact dimensions make these elements particularly suitable for small rooms. Another feature that makes them exclusive is the construction material: biobased Cristalplant® is resistant to scratches and damage over time, and also easy to wash.

Winning the NYCxDESIGN 2020 award is certainly a source of pride, but it also highlights the great importance of the time tested partnership between Agape and Neri&Hu, thus confirming the brand’s tendency to invest in innovation and the creativity of designers who have worked with Agape for years.

One of most interesting collections from Kettal that adapts perfectly to summer is certainly Vimini, a project created by Patricia Urquiola and named after the material used to make the furnishings. The name also evokes memories of an island that is dear to the designer’s heart: Bimini, in the Bahamas.

The collection includes outdoor sofas, chairs and tables, characterized with a base structure in wood spaced to recall the structure of wicker in typical garden furniture.

This collection sports a modernist spirit and a deliberately unfinished look. All pieces have the same wicker basket theme, which brings to mind this object that represents our memory and makes us feel at home.

The result is a timeless collection, perfect for tastefully outfitting the garden or terrace, and the promise of being able to enjoy pleasant relaxing moments outside.

One of the most captivating new collections from the outdoor brand Tribù is Elio, the new outdoor furniture designed by the Canadian design studio Yabu Pushelberg.

“Luminosa” is its name and main feature. Inspired by the Greek sun god, Helios, this collection aims to immortalize a beautiful but fleeting moment: sunset.

The weaves on the various pieces of the collection are inspired by the movement of the light reflecting on landscapes and objects, which creates the soft shades of colour so typically seen at sundown.

Elio’s armchair, small armchair, lounge chair and sofa have a slightly rounded and concave silhouette, designed to create a comfortable “alcove” to sit and relax in while spending time out in the open air.

All pieces have a natural teak structure and seats in handwoven Tricord, an innovative new material created exclusively for Tribù that consists of a singular combination of nautical and plastic fibres.

With Tricord, ancient weaving techniques are combined with modern materials and painting processes to create a soft material that can also resist weather and outdoor conditions. To accent the exclusive craftsmanship used in these pieces and complete their style, a pleasant dégradé effect is obtained by combining threads of different colours into a single cord. As we can all expect, the result is truly unique.
